Well here we are at another gathering but this time we had a fair turnout of at least 23 people, actually i should say it ws quite a good attendance... The scheduled place that we were goin to dine was apparently sakae, but they had switched it to Siam Kitchen... Well this was my first time dining here and i would say its quite a pleasurable experience with great ambiance. To those who don't know where this place is located, well its near the Fountain of Wealth at Suntec city.

Well the buffet costs $20 which is quite a gd deal i think considering the wide array of food they have and its quite good too... But as for me i just had something off the ala carte menu due the lack of funds currently dwelling in my bank account... Well had fun and hope to see guys again sometime soon... Definately missing you guys.. : ]

well i was walking around suntec on sunday with my friend...lo and behold! i saw in succession - Ah Goh, CSM and Alvin. Now Ah Goh was with his gf at Macs when i saw him....for all those who dun know, he's working at the bubble tea shop at taka, so for those who are in the area or who wish to support our poor pao pao man, please go buy bubble tea from him at taka. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't get commission even if he sells more bubble tea, from wad i learnt from him, he's actually eager to stop working there coz they pay peanuts. so pls go there complain abt the bubble tea him makes and u might actually do him a favour and get him sacked. who knows, he might thank u for it =)

Next in line was CSM. Met him at the suntec Toys r Us with his daughter. well from the looks of things, his arm has recovered and is happily accompanying his cute lil daughter shopping for toys. some probing from me found out that he has handed over his csm duties to another guy and has returned to SOF. oh and for those who are curious, he did not ask me to join his MLM shit in which i would have rejected outright anyways. Did not see his wife though, i still remember her wearing that suggestive shirt during our company outing at marina steamboat....hmmm...NO guys...it's not a fetish...it was just a slight vunerability on my part....

MOVING ON...Alvin was standing around outside of royal sporting house well...let's just say being wad we have always tried to avoid when we walk from TM to the bus interchange. The dreaded insurance/survey/pest/son of a *****!! Yes my friends, our dear YOUW has become one of THEM...well at least he din ask me to sign up to his savings plan, although he did hint to me by saying "it's a good savings plan la this one" in his deep macho voice of a commando...to which i did not even flinch and told him i just saw CSM and told him to go pester him instead. after that i told him i was in a rush and just went off without waiting for a bye.

Oh wad a day! Oh wad a place suntec is! so many adventures await my fellow commandos, if u have the heart of a lion please feel free to walk around suntec on a weekend. who knows you might bum into? Cpt CHEE BYE CHUA maybe? how abt RSM!? i will not shy away from the challenges that await me....i will surge forth with courage...away my friends!! another time!

guys eh, how've u all been man? really missed the army days dudes~ btw, fishing last sunday was realli power-packed sia!! we caught so many fishes tt it seem like we can open a fish market liao, lol! bt all bryans' pro fishing frens catch one, damn! currently working in a hotel nw.. (Not hotel 81) oxford hotel in bugis, 218 queen street.. if wana meet up and have a cup of coffee, pls drop by there man! i'm totally bored to death, haha~ plus i've gotta face the CUI "gals" over there all the time, it's killing me softly man!! aniway, hope to hear more from u guys..

firstly i'd like to congratulate lao da for winning the competition. Hopefully it's a sign for better things to come. Who knows maybe u'll get scouted by Don King and make millions of dollars in the USA. Just don't waste it on drugs and all if it happens...especially your weakness for women!!!haha... but seriously i think we shld try to do something in sch...set up like a fishing club or a boxing club or something like that...wad say u big boss man? Poh is in for anything so i guess u'll be alright with it? oh well we can all discuss this when we see each other in sch...hopefully...hah

so! when u coming back horsey? i'll be in australia like mid jun till early jul...so if u're still there then maybe can meet u there or something...if not u could loan me your room...just for a couple of days...haha...kinda looking forward to the trip though with all the work and all to earn money for this bloody trip. now that we've had our mini breaks after ord everyone's back to reality and realise that there's no more income!bloody hell! but i realise a small trend man...we've all been busy with our own stuff that it's damn hard to get evryone back for a gathering again...only the occassional bday's and all...we still gg out with each other?i dunno man i know i haven't exactly been out with many of u guys...but oh well...that's life man...

So its been a few days after ord guys.wat hav u guys been up to?i got a job besides the medical ting,so i'm like super busy now.haha.nyen u seem to be cmplainin alot abt not havin anything to do.haha.yea i would love to hav gone for that boxin match man.i heard so much abt it.lol.too bad it was my grandmas bdae that day.haha.congrats leon!there was no doubt that u would hav won.haha.look,i'm thinking of takin up either muaythai or capoaira(however thats spelled).any takers?and glenns teaching us some drumming skills,so anyone interested in that too?haha.i'll be stuck in the hospital most of the time this mth,but i'll squeeze in some free time.lol.we shld mt up man.whens the company chalet again?any ideas? and yea.the guy on the pict is damn freakylah.i'm glad we din turn out funny.rofl

I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to our very own Leon Tan for bringing home a championship trophy at the recently concluded Amateur Boxing Championships.

I think I can speak for those of us who went, that Leon absolutely massacred his poor opponent. Whereas his opponent liked to jump about and used alot of speed, Leon opted for the standard slugger approach, by being steady and calculated. Unleashing really scary hooks lol. Looks all that time shadow boxing in the bunk was put to use. I think by Unanimous decision Leon won.

What else was cool was that Leon's match was probably the most exciting match there (probably cuz we were making a racket lol) with the crowd getting into it. I think everyone freaked out when the opponent hit the ropes and nearly crumpled to the floor. Throughout the event there was not a single knock out, so this was real exciting stuff! dear friends who are reading this. i dunno abt u guys but i'm bored as hell like this. ORD or not...Pink IC or not...this is killing me! where are the good old days when we just laze around in bed in the bunk, or happily go play soccer/basketball/or go swimming? Don't u miss those days? OK! JUST....KIDDING...but seriously i am bored as hell...with shawn and arif being the guinea pig and all and Fei de(Kaixiang) doing Fish & Co, I am just lazing at home!not that i'm lazy or anything, it's just that there's nothing out there so far.

By the way why isn't anyone supporting this blog ah?how come so far only shawn doing the blogging guys?isn't is suppose to have constant updates considering that we have so many people in the company?Geez...as Gian like to say..."Fucking SHIT!" come on man!! write more blogs..more updates and scandals man!!

Well i'm sorry bushy or should i say Sgt Yang JJ.... Well first of all you're one of the most irritating person t0 have around, then u give people names which is irritating, then you always seem to know everything about anything or at least you try to and then you're a fly boy!!!

Dunno whether penning this entry down will get you miffed but who gives a damn?? Or maybe you're actually happy to be the center of attraction cause hey someone's writing about you. Well story has it that Mr Bushy got his 2nd sgt rank rather unceremoniously as it seems. 2nd Sgt Kar yong was suppose to don the rank but apparently it was the last one and it fell into the hands of Mr flyboy, who in turn refused to give up on it. I mean not that i'm envious or anything but what bothers me was the fact that Kar Yong has done so much for the company and what has ^^ done?
Well nothing that i can remember but i do remember what he has not done. Maybe its because people tend to retain memories of ones bad doings instead of his good. Well i shall not comment beyond this issue, not that he was not slated to become a 2nd sgt but he was one for only a month or so... And as a trainer for bravo coy... What the hell??

Well no hard feelings dude but i think you shld have given the rank to him, it may seem like a small thing but it would definately show your maturity as a person to realise that he deserves it on his arm more than you do... I know that probably you would want to flaunt the rank in front of your loved ones but well i shall not say more...

Well guys through the course of this 2 yr++ we had quite a mixture of characters coming through to manage us. well i'm going through what i remember about this ppl but well my memory ain't too good, and i don't want to torture my tiny little brain here. So heres what i can recollect.....

First of all there was Capt Toh, well he's afine little fella. Wasn't he just like uber nice to us, or was he the wolf in sheeps clothing for we will never know will we. But what i remember is i heard stories of him telling the trainers off for dishing out shit on us (teken). Well the trainers were assholes weren't they...! But i guess it was good for us in some way, right?? Well this OC was like the father figure in the company, always worrying abt our well being and everything. Then there was Capt J, oh boy this guy was like a pain in the ass. Actually i dun remember much abt this dude, only that he wanted a place in the company soccer team. No actually he self declared himself as part of the soccer team, taking a place upfront as the striker... I vaguely remember him taking a lot of shots at goal but don't remember him ever scoring... So did he score? Does anyone remember?

Ohh and of course the infamous Capt C***. Oh this guy was full of it, Yeah full of crap that is..!!
I don't know where the hell he gets all his weird ideas. I guess its the books that he's always preaching about. He could have done so many other things in life and i'd bet that he would be a sucess but why the army? Perhaps an interior designer or an events organiser... He seems so good at all of this, especially with his shlong devouring skills. Well i shall not say more in case i get in to trouble.

Then we had the Gangsta.... Capt whats name.?? Hmmm i can't seem to remember. He had a carefree attitude, didn't give a damn about anything...

He's favourite quote was "3rd and 4th coy one big happy family rite?"

Damn what the hell was his name...?

Then last but not least there was peace loving and the very introvert Capt T. Was he actually our OC or our 2IC. Well i dunno i wasn't there long enough to find out... He always seems to keep to himself... Dun really remember hearing him talking to us.

Unique Experience that is Army

The day that i stepped out of the shadows of a carefree boy into the shadows of adulthood, the very much dreaded day of countless local boys in singapore, enlistment day. Never did i expect to be part of the "elite" Commandos, and i didn't really know what to expect other than the relatively high physical and intellectual requirement. Stories of people being tortured by dunking made me doubt whether I could take the tough training. Whether or not as to i would have to go thorough such similiar ordeals ran through my mind. Upon receiving the enlistment letter i wondered then as i wonder now, where would i be if i had not gone for the vocational assignment...

Anyway here i am now 2 years 3 months later with 41 days to go til i officially close this chapter of my life. This is going to be something which is going to be hard to do, i never thought that i'd be saying this, but now after waiting patiently for what seemed like ages to leave the camp i don't feel like going anywhere. Ha ha, they'd probably have to chase me out. I'm going to miss everything, from my brothers to proibably the dust in the bunk. The pink i/c seems to be within my grasps yet again. Yet now what lays ahead for me i do not know, i guess i'll wait til this fog is lifted.

Life in the army begun on the 10 of dec 2003, it seems like it was only a couple of months ago... I started off in the PTP batch, having not taken the napfa test because of my slothful tendencies. I guess my loafer abilites is what got me into this mess, boy am i talented or what... The trainers seemed super nice, like for the first day. Then they all turned nasssty... They started hissing and spitting fire all over... Arrghhh it was hell and i wasn't suppose to be here. I thought to myself i could take the shit they dished out and made it out by disrupting by passing my ippt test on the 2nd attempt ( i was screwed by the 2IC on my 1st attempt, we were suppose to do 7 chin-ups and i did 6 + 2 of which apparently wasn't counted according to him ) and not having to come back til the BMT batch comes in.

BMT was not any better, this time it was like round 2 in hell. With new recruits coming in, there were more baldies around, and like they say the more the merrier!! I guess the trainers had to do what they did, cause thats the only way to make us tougher both physically and mentally. After bmt we had to go through another phase which was to be much tougher we were now privates. This period of time in my life was one that i found to be very difficult, i was very depressed and found myself giving up more. I didn't want to do anything just wanted out, seeing my mates from the ptp phase falling out one by one til there were very few of us left about 20 or less now. I decided to seek solace in God whom i always turn to whenever i need help, but you see thats the bad thing, i only remember him through tough times... I shall pray more from now on.... I thank god and his angels for protecting me and giving me guidance and pray that they do so til my last breath....
